The Next Classroom Revolution?

If you observe the structure and spatial organization of most of university classrooms, you will find almost the same in all.
This characteristic spatial structure that today dominates our universities, is going to suffer a great change, and for this reason, I believe that "The Future of Education" Web is a very good space to this discussion...
The change we hope for universities' Classroom structure affect to the way people interact within the classroom in the process of learning.
Today university classrooms are spatialy structured according to old ways of transmitting knowledge, coming from Instituitions as Church and The Military.
Today university classrooms are spatialy structured in a bipolar fashion that prevents a great diversity of ways of interacting within the learning community.
For this reason, and attending to all the great innovations already present in many levels of 21th century society, universities are going to adapt themselves to these advantegous changes, transforming the spatila structure of their classrooms, from 1.0 to 2.0.
The next radical transformation  from 1.0 to 2.0 in university classrooms is coming at two complementary levels.
Universities are going to open more and more to internet in ral time, making the old isolated classroom a new networked classroom where teachers and students are sharing their lessons with other classrooms and groups across internet 2.0.
On the other side, the change from 1.0 to 2.0 within university classroom affect directly to the spatial structure of classrooms. To adapt universities to our 2.o era, the classroom must suffer a great and radical change. This radical change will affect to the seat distribution, and consequently, to the ways students interact among themselves within classroom.
In this way, we refer to two diferent and complementary levels of converting 1.0 university classroom in 2.0. On the level affecting to interclassroom communication via internet 2.0, and the other affecting to an increase in the direct physical interactions among students, as in Alternative Education.
I ask you reader, for your own experience in university, or school classrooms. Maybe you have experience in classrooms where the students are situated in circle. In this case you could perceive the diference between 1.0 and 2.0 classroom...
